How encryption works
The technical security model behind Unimatrix.
Unimatrix distinguishes between browser-encrypted memories and integration-processed memories.
Memories typed in the dashboard composer can be browser-encrypted before transmission using PBKDF2 key derivation. Server-processed memories (from MCP, browser extension, APIs) are vectorized using local HuggingFace ONNX embeddings, full-text indexed, and encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest.
All traffic uses TLS 1.3 in transit, and tenant isolation is enforced by PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS).
