Save your first memory
Step-by-step guide to storing your first memory in Unimatrix.
The fastest way to save your first memory is directly from an MCP-connected client like Claude Desktop: just ask your assistant to remember something, and it will call the `unimatrix_store_memory` tool automatically once your MCP connection is configured (see "Configure Claude Desktop (MCP)").
You can also save memories manually from the web dashboard: go to Dashboard → New Memory, choose (or create) a Palace and Location to file it under, type or paste the content, and save. It is encrypted in your browser before it is sent.
The browser extension offers a third path — right-click any selected text on a page (e.g. in ChatGPT or Claude Web) and choose "Save to Unimatrix" to store it instantly.
Once saved, that memory is available to any other MCP client or device signed into the same account — try opening a new conversation in a different client and asking it to recall what you just saved.
